I was in Sauk Centre, Minnesota—middle of nowhere, really—between jobs and searching for direction. A friend, who was already in real estate, mentioned he needed some help. The idea stuck with me. I’d always been drawn to roles where I could connect with people and make a difference, and real estate seemed like a new way to do just that. So, in 2014, I got my license. I didn’t know then that this decision would become a thread running through the rest of my life, even as my main path took me elsewhere.

My journey started in Little Falls, Minnesota, a small town in northern Minnesota. After high school, I thought I’d be an engineer. I went to college for it but quickly realized it wasn’t for me. The work felt empty—just a job, not a calling. I craved purpose, something that would let me have a positive impact. That’s when I pivoted to youth ministry.

I discovered in college that I had a knack for connecting with teenagers. I spent the next decade as a pastor, recruiting and leading volunteers, delivering weekly messages, and serving as a steady presence for young people in my community.

But as the years went by, I realized being a youth pastor wasn’t something I could do forever. I wanted a career that would let me keep making a difference—and eventually retire. So I went back to school, got my teaching license and a master’s in teaching, and became a middle school geography teacher. I also coach freshman basketball, and I’m deeply involved in my school community, from managing sports events to being a regular in the weight room.
Throughout all these changes, my real estate license stayed active. I found myself referring friends and acquaintances to Jeff Klemmer, my broker and partner in real estate. Jeff is someone I trust completely—he’s helped me buy three homes and sell two, and I’ve seen firsthand how honest, fair, and wise he is. He’s the kind of advocate you want in your corner for life’s biggest transactions.

My goals have always centered around connection—whether it’s helping a student find their confidence, guiding a young person through a tough time, or making sure someone I know finds the right home. That skill—meeting people where they are—has shaped every job I’ve had, from ministry to teaching to real estate.
Outside of work, I’m an avid disc golfer, competing in tournaments and traveling to play in new places. I love to golf, play basketball, lift weights, and watch sports—especially basketball.

My hope is that anyone who crosses my path—whether in a classroom or through a real estate referral—walks away feeling seen, supported, and confident that I have their best interests at heart.

What makes me different from other real estate professionals is that my main focus has always been on building genuine connections and serving people, not just making sales. I meet people where they are, listen to their needs, and strive to understand them. I’ve kept my license active so I can help friends and acquaintances connect with someone I trust completely—my business partner, Jeff Klemmer.
